It's Not Just Like Riding a Bike...

Wow what a week!!!!!!  This week has been SO great!!!  I have LOVED getting to know Lujan!!!  It is BEAUTIFUL and GREEN here!!!  It is SO pretty!!!  I have learned to ride a bike which was an experience!!!  I have already fallen from my bike so don't worry about that!!! Jajajajajajajaja  Oh I fell HARD!!!!  I have been nursing my knee since Wednesday because it was UGLY!  It's worse than what the pic shows but it is better now!!!  There are more dirt roads also.  But my area I feel like it isn't much different than my other areas.  It's A LOT prettier though than all of my other areas.  But A LOT more humid :(((((

Hermana Throolin is really great!!!  She is really nice!!!  She is from just outside of Seattle Washington.  She is coming up on her year mark in her mission!!!  She really likes to cook!!!  She cooks well too!!!!  We have hardly any investigators but we have a lot of recent converts that we are working with.  We are trying to find a lot. We are going to work hard and find people.

Other than my new area and getting to know the area and the members here nothing much happened this week!!!  I hope everyone had a great New Years!!!  I am so excited to start this new year and make goals of how I want to progress even more in my life this year and things I want to accomplish!!!  Its a time to start totally new!!!

I LOVE this gospel and I KNOW that it is true!!!  I know that our Heavenly Father and Savior Jesus Christ live and love us SO much!!!  I know that they are there to strengthen us!!!  I have felt their strengthening power a lot this week!!!  I KNOW that they LIVE and know each and everyone of us!!!   This is THEIR gospel and not mans.  I LOVE and miss you all lots and lots and lots and lots!!!!!!!!

Christmas Week - December 28, 2016

What a week we had here in Argentina!!!  It was such a special week being able to remember the birth of our Savior Jesus Christ!!!  We were able to go around to our ward and sing to the members and investigators that we have!!!  It was such a neat experience being able to bring the Christmas spirit and sing for two days!!!

It was so great being able to have some time to talk and be together 14 hours away from each other.  After we talked Hermana Wiborny and I were able to have Christmas Eve dinner with the family that invited us to come and Skype!!!  It was a beautiful dinner with them and a spiritual experience after talking about the wisemen that came and how they were witnesses that Jesus Christ was born!!!    I LOVE Christmas and being able to remember our Savior!!!

Well my time here in Atalaya has already come to an end and I am headed to my last area which will be Lujan, campo!!!  I am so excited to be able to have new experiences in another area and learn from my new companion!!!  Her name is Hermana Throolin.  I lived with her for two transfers when I was in Hurlingham.   She was the tall sister with red hair.  I am REALLY nervous.  It is going to be a change!!!  But all will be well and if that is where Heavenly Father wants me than I can ride a bike and be in campo!!!!

BTW, things changed on Thurs after we talked and I will be getting home a week later on the 29 of March.  Well the MTC is going back to being 3 weeks and so it affects the transfer that I come home.

This Church is true and I LOVE being a missionary!!!!

These Feet Were Made for Walking!

This week was INCREDIBLE!!!!!  It has been one of the most sacred weeks of my entire mission!!!  It started on Sunday when we had training from the sisters who go around the whole mission training sisters on how we can teach better and help our investigators!!!  The training was so great and we got to do lots of practices with them on the Restoration.  Then they came to Atalaya Friday night until Sunday night.  Hermana Wiborny and I were on divisions Friday night until Sunday night working in different parts of our area.  It was INCREDIBLE!!!!  We found so many new investigators and people that we can go back and teach!!!  We were able to do A LOT of practices with them and help us be able to teach better and more simply so that our investigators will be able to understand the Restoration!!!  It was so helpful for us and SO incredible!!!!!

If I send you pictures of my feet you can NOT freak out.  I WILL live. No its fine.  No it doesn’t hurt at all...  I want to paint them so I don’t see how gross they look but I don’t think that is a good idea either.  I am worried when we get rained on, I feel really gross knowing that I have fungus under my nails and their ugly... I talked to the nurse back in October.  She said that it is something I would just have to take care of at home and that I would be fine until then...
Thank you for the big package.  It starts today!!!!!  The Elders are going to give it to me again today, because it came in a big box and the Elders didn’t think it was a good idea for two young girls to be walking home with big boxes because Hermana Wiborny got one too and so they took them from us and we are going to get them from them today.  (We were able to find a company in Argentina that sent her a Christmas package… it’s the Twelve Days of Christmas).

Thanks to the YW for all of the love and support!!!!!!  I loved receiving the envelope from themJ
I know that this church is true!!!  I LOVE this gospel.  I know that our Heavenly Father and Savior Jesus Christ live and love us SO much and want us to be happy and have joy in this life.  I know that the Book of Mormon is true and that is a tool our Heavenly Father has given us to become more like him and to have joy and happiness in this life.  I LOVE the Book of Mormon and the example that are there for us to learn from.  I LOVE this gospel!!!  I miss you all lots and lots and lots and lots and lots!!!!

A Child's Prayer

I had such a great experience yesterday in church!!!!!!!!!  In my ward right now us missionaries represent 4 different countries which means 4 different languages!!!!!  It is so neat!!!  We represent Germanay, Colombia, Brazil, and the United States!!!  Well so we decided to do something.  We sang A Childs Prayer in sacrament meeting!!!  We sang the first verse in spanish all the way through.  The second verse we broke up all of the different phrases and each of us took a phrase and sang in our native langugae!!!  I felt the spirit so strong!!!

We are struggling having contact with all our investigators right now.  I am praying so hard!!!!!  We schedule appointments with them and they are not there when we get there :(

The church is true!!!!  It was so neat!!!  It is incredible to me to think about how many of us there are as missionaries and in how many different countries we are in and how many different languages we are called to learn.  I LOVE this gospel!!!  The church is true!!!!!!  The work of the Lord is rolling forth!!!  I LOVE this gospel!!!!  I am so grateful for the blessing of having this gospel in my life!!!!  I know that my Heavenly Father and my Savior Jesus Christ live and love us SO much!!!  I know that they know each one of us individually!!  I know that this church is the church of Jesus Christ at the he stands at the head.  I know that our Prophet, Pres Thomas S. Monson is who speaks for him on the earth today.  I love and miss you all lots and lots and lots and lots!!!!!!!

We also found investigators this week!!!!  We are praying that one of them will be able to be baptized the 26th of December!!!  He is so great and already wants to change his life around!!!

Also I hope that everyone had a fabulous Thanksgiving!!!!  This year I am so grateful for my health!!!!  My health is not always perfect but I can see, I can hear, I have two arms and two legs to walk and what else can I ask for!!!!!!  I LOVE this gospel and I KNOW that it is true!!!  I LOVE this gospel!!!  I know that our Heavenly Father and Savior Jesus Christ live and love us way more than we can imagine!!!  I know that they know us personally!!!  I LOVE the Book of Mormon and I know that it is true and that if we read it and learn from it we can become more like our Father in Heaven and Savior Jesus Christ!!!  I LOVE this gospel!!!!  Love and mis you all lots and lots and lots and lots!!!!!

Opening Atalaya B is Great!!!

Wow this week has been a super great week!!!!  It all starts on Tuesday when the Elders in our ward contacted a family that lives in our area!!!  They are a really great and special family!!!  They moved here to Argentina about a month ago from Hawaii!!!  The mom is from here and they decided to move back for school!!!  The kid’s don’t speak a ton of Spanish so we are teaching them in English!!!  It has definitely been an experience teaching in my native tongue.

I LOVE this gospel!!!  It is incredible to me how many languages we as missionaries learn to be sure that our Heavenly Father’s children learn the gospel in their native language!!!  It’s incredible!!!!!!!  We were also able to do service for this family Friday morning.  There was lots of dust and the mom was feeling a little sick and so we went and dusted everything in the house!!  It was such a experience being able to help this family out so much this week!!!

Well we still are trying to find the people here who have been prepared for us to find.  It is an incredible adventure opening up Atalaya B!!!  I really like the ward it’s really great!!!  They haven’t had sisters for about 6 months and a lot of members supposedly have been praying for sisters.  There is a lot of excitement for us!!!  I have to be patient with myself because I don’t know everyone yet but it will all be ok.

Read Moroni 8:1-3.  It’s a scripture that I found in the MTC that helps me A LOT through the week.  But as you read it when it says Mormon put Cameron when it says Moroni put Karina and when it says my beloved son put my beloved daughter.  You WILL cry!!!!!!!!!!!!

I know that with our Heavenly Father at our side we can do anything!!!  I know the He and our Savior Jesus Christ live and love us way more than we can imagine.  I know that they know us each so personally!!!  I know that the Book of Mormon is true!!!  I know that this church is true and I LOVE it!!!  I LOVE being a missionary!!!  I LOVE and miss you all lots and lots and lots and lots!!!!

Flash Transfer - Fifth Area

Hola!

Friday - "Well Hermaninta are you ready to go and baptize someone today? Lets go!!!!!"  ring, ring, ring, ring "Hermana it’s the assistant. "  "Hola!" "Hello Hermana Kent it’s the assistants, we are calling to tell you and Hermana Wiborny that you two will be having a flash today and be going to Atalaya to open up Atalaya B.  Start packing and we will be there shortly to pick you two up to take you both to your new area."  Well that’s right!!!  Friday afternoon Hermana Wiborny and I left Haedo and are now in Atalaya opening up an area where there haven’t been Hermanas for about 6 months!!!  Just elders in this ward.  I am way excited about this task that Heavenly Father has given to us and the confidence He has put in us to open this area.  Oh it has been a crazy week trying to learn the area and get to know people and find a house for us two!!!  We are living with other sisters who live like 10 or 15 min from our area until we can find something.  We have appointments tomorrow to walk through two apartments with the missionary couple who are in charge of the apartments.  This area is poor.  I don’t know how poor.  It is definitely NOT like Haedo.  EVERYONE in Haedo had a ton of money.  I am really excited for this area.

I can NOT believe that this is already my fifth area and that this month will complete 14 months in the mission and that in two days I will have officially been in Argentina for 1 year!!!  The time is so fast and I am so grateful for all of the experiences I have had so far in my mission.  The week started out super great!!!  Tuesday we had the opportunity to have special trainings and interviews with President Robertson!!!  I love going to special trainings and interviews!!  I always feel the spirit so strong and I am always so excited to apply the different things that we are taught!!!

I feel like the mission has really helped me.  I mean I am NOT Argentine and can talk for two hours straight.  I am still very observant and don’t have to talk every second but I feel like a talk more than before.   I LOVE being a missionary!!! I know that this church is true!!!  I know that Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ live.  I know that they know us each individually and love us so much!!! I know they know what is best for us and will answer our prayers!!  I LOVE and miss all of you lots and lots and lots and lots!!!
